The Eugene Generals are proud to debut one-of-a-kind "zombie" jerseys that the team will wear on Saturday, December 19th vs. the Seattle Ravens in celebration of the 1st Annual Eugene Generals Blood Drive.
Working in conjunction with the Lane Blood Center and the Health and Safety Institute, the Generals will be hosting the franchise's very first blood drive that very same evening from 4-7pm at The Rink Exchange. To help commemorate the occasion, the Generals designed unique "zombie" themed jerseys in an effort to raise awareness for the event while also aiming to increase awareness for the massive need for blood donations.
The jersey's look, which was originally concocted by Generals Head Coach Justin Kern and Communications Director Ryan Colby, was specially designed by Harrow in close conjunction with the Lane Blood Center and HSI. The result was a one-of-a-kind jersey that is unlike any specialty jersey the Generals have worn throughout their eleven year history.
"Quite frankly, this is something we've been excited about for a very, very long time," Generals GM Flint Doungchak excitedly explained. "Seeing the design come together and witnessing the buzz that has already built up around the event has been pretty incredible. Now that the designs are officially released, we're looking forward to packing the ice rink with fans while helping to support a truly tremendous cause in the process."
The 1st Annual Eugene Generals Blood Drive will be held on Saturday, December 19th from 4-7pm at The Rink Exchange leading up to that evening's game vs. the Seattle Ravens. All fans that attend and donate blood will automatically receive one free ticket to that night's Generals game vs. the Ravens. In addition, all fans that donate blood at the 1st Annual Generals Blood Drive will be entered in a raffle to win their very own Generals "zombie" themed jersey.
