Generals fall to fourth after 3-1 loss

EUGENE, Ore. - The Eugene Generals (9-6-1) now ride a two-game losing streak, after losing 3-1 to the Tri-Cities Outlaws (10-8-1).

The Generals were on the road tonight for their only game this weekend.

After losing 13-1 to the West Sound Warriors, the Generals were looking play hard, and bounce back from last weekend’s loss tonight. Unfortunately for the Generals, the Outlaws would dominate the scoreboard for the first two periods tonight.

In the first period, Tri-Cities forward Zack Swanson lit the lamp 6:02 into the first period. Swanson scored off of a pass form Jordan Tuttle.

The Outlaws put two points on the scoreboard in the second period, extending their lead to 3-0. Aaron Questad and Alexander Highly were the Tri-Cities goal scores in the second period.

At 17:35 of the second period, Generals forward Stephen Soloway put Eugene on the scoreboard on a short handed goal. Soloway scored after Generals forward Austin Sullens gained control of the puck on the Outlaws’ power play, and passed it to Soloway, who fired the puck into the back of the net.

Next weekend, the Generals will travel back to Tri-Cities, and play the Outlaws twice more on the road. The two teams are scheduled to play at 7:35 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.
