The Eugene Generals (19-3) will end 2008 with six of their seven remaining games on the road. The Generals have just finished a seven game road swing in which they finished 7-0, and are currently riding a franchise record 12 game winning streak. The Generals are also in first place in the NORPAC Pacific Division, as they lead the Seattle Totems (19-3) in the first three tie-breaking categories.
The Generals will put their first place position, their overall winning streak and their road winning streak on the line when they travel to Kennewick, WA for two games against the Tri-City Titans this weekend. The Titans are currently in sixth place in the Pacific Division, but only sit six points out of third place.
“We have to stay focused against the Titans,” Generals Head Coach Jay Miller stated. “Tri-City is a very solid team, and they gave us a great game the last time we were in their barn. I believe that if we play our hockey we should be able to continue this streak this weekend.”
After the trip to Kennewick this weekend, the Generals will come home to Eugene for Bi-Mart 2-for-1 Night on Monday against the River City Jaguars. The Generals will then travel to Mountlake Terrace, WA next weekend to face the Totems, and will finish 2008 with a road trip to Medford, OR when they will face the Rogue Valley Wranglers. The Generals will end the season with 12 of their final 19 games at Lane Events Center-Ice in Eugene.
The games this Friday and Saturday in Kennewick, WA against the Titans at 7:05 PM will be broadcast on GiTV in audio only. For more information on upcoming games or GiTV please visit eugenegenerals.com.
