Generals Look to Avenge Only Pre-Season Loss

The Eugene Generals will be traveling to Pasco, WA tomorrow to face the Tri-City Titans. The Titans handed the Generals their only loss (3-2) in the Pre-Season Kickoff Tournament. The Generals enter the game boasting the best record in NOR-PAC, and lead the Titans by 18 points in the Western Division standings.

The Titans will not be an easy game for the Generals, however. The Titans are two points behind River City for the fourth and final Western Division playoff spot, and the Generals coaching staff expects them to be hungry for a win; especially against the Generals. “When your team is at the top of the heap everybody is gunning for you,” Generals Head Coach Robert Freeland stated. “The Titans were the only team to beat us in the pre-season, and I know they’ll be carrying that confidence into the games this weekend.”

The loss to Tri-City was a wake-up call for the Generals as they out-shot the Titans 70-20. The Generals knew they had to improve their shot percentage, and they have done exactly that. The Generals lead NOR-PAC with a .163 shot percentage, and the Titans are seventh in the league .114 shot percentage. The key to success for the Generals this weekend will be to outshoot their opponent, and make those shots count. For more information on upcoming Generals games please visit
