Bozeman Too Much For Generals

The Eugene Generals couldn’t’ come back from a three goal deficit tonight, but they made it a dogfight. The Bozeman Blackhawks scored all three goals in the first and second period, and added one more to defeat the Generals 4-3. “Our boys outplayed them in every aspect of the game, but just couldn’t convert the opportunities,” Generals Head Coach Robert Freeland said. “When you don’t capitalize on your opportunities you can’t expect to win.”

Brad Meyers opened up the Generals scoring for the Generals in the third period with assists going to Ryan Schank and Cameron Zimick. The Generals would score another 1:30 later when Ryan Schank was assisted by Ben Tikka and Troy Mitenger. After the fourth Bozeman goal Garret Bossert and Kris Kranzky assisted Ben Tikka to make it a one goal game. That goal proved to be too much for the Generals to overcome. The Generals will face the Blackhawks tomorrow night at 7:35 at Lane Events Center-Ice.
