Flint Doungchak - General Manager
With the franchise since its inception in 2005, Doungchak has Bachelor degrees in Finance, Marketing, and Economics from the University of Oregon. Doungchak handles general day-to-day operations of the franchise. While attending the college, Doungchak played two seasons with the Oregon Hockey Team, a Division II ACHA program. His experience in hockey for over 30 years, both as a player and a hockey administrator, serve to assist the coaching staff on player recruitment and development. Doungchak primary focus is the long-term development of the players as they move from junior through the college ranks.

In recent years, Doungchak has served USA Hockey (USAH) as a team leader at the National Development Camps at the 14 and 15 age groups. At the District level, his involvement includes serving as both an evaluator and team leader for all age groups (14, 15, 16, & 17) for the District Select Camps and in 2011, the Girls District Select Camp. Also, in 2011, Doungchak was named as Head Coach for the Kent State Pacific District 15 Team. Since 2003, Doungchak has been the Head Instructor for the USAH District CEP (Coaching Education Program) in Oregon.

At the state level, Doungchak was recently named Coach in Chief. Just completing his nineteenth season as a coach, Doungchak has a long career as a volunteer for the local youth hockey association at all levels, and holds a Level 4 Coaching Card. He also serves the association as one of the members of its Coaching Committee and plays a large role in the implementation of the USAH American Development Model (ADM) at both the local and state level.

Doungchak is currently Deputy Commissioner of the Northern Pacific Hockey League (NORPAC), the league in which the Generals play. Doungchak has served as General Manager of the Best of the Rest for the past two seasons; the NORPAC All-Star Team that attends the National Tournament.

Daniel Bell- Associate General Manager

Daniel enters his fifth season with the Eugene Generals, where he enters his first season as the associate generals manager. Bell graduated from the University of Oregon in 2007, with a Bachelors degree in Journalism and Communication. Daniel has served as the Executive Producer for EGHN, and last season he was the Director of Public Relations for the team.

Bell will assist Flint Doungchak, General Manager, in the day-to-day operations of the team. His responsibilities also include; over seeing game day operations, EGHN and sponsor communications. Bell spent the last two seasons as the NorPac Website Manager. Daniel has worked for the San Diego Chargers for seven seasons, as a Game Day Operations Intern.

Daniel is an avid sports fan, and his favorite teams include the San Diego Chargers, San Diego Padres and the Oregon Ducks. Bell grew up in San Diego, where he was involved in athletics and participated in a number of different sports growing up.

Eric Gustafson - Eastern and MidAm Scout
A Native of Chicago, Ill., Gustafson began playing organized hockey when he was six-years-old. He played high school hockey and lacrosse at Trinity High School, in Louisville, Ky. Both of his high school sports teams won two state championships. Named to the Kentucky All-State Team both junior and senior seasons, he was also assistant captain for both those seasons. Gustafson also played with the Chicago Mission AAA hockey club during high school. At the end of his college career, Gustafson had 45 goals and 40 assists. Gustafson currently remains the record holder for the most points in a single season.<.p>

Miami University's men's hockey team offered Gustafson a "preferred walk-on," but as a result of a back injury, he was forced to forego playing any hockey following tat season. Instead, Gustafson turned his focus on education and attended Bellarmine University to pursue a pre-med degree. The summer after his freshman year, Gustafson played with the Indianapolis Ice (USHL), where he was recruited to play DIII hockey (NCAA) for Lake Forest College, but decided to stay in Louisville.

Gustafson graduated from Bellarmine University with a Biology degree and Chemistry minor. He is currently attending Physical Therapy School at Bellarmine University, where he will be receiving a Doctorate of Physical Therapy in Dec. 2012. Gustafson is active in USA hockey as a coach, and currently a level 3 referee.

Marc Poulet - Michigan Scout
Native of Allen Park, Mich., Poulet began playing organized hockey at the age of four. Poulet played travel hockey primarily in the Allen Park Hockey Association. After his playing career, Poulet focused on refereeing, and was a CCHA linesman for 10 years prior to receiving his college degree in History. Poulet is a high school history teacher in Mich., and was an assisitant coach with the Generals Head Coach, Chuck Kennedy, for three years at Lakeland High School in Mich. Prior to that, he was the head coach of South Lyon High School for one year. Marc currently coaches his son Ben's Mite Travel team out of Brighton, Mich.

Erik Kroll - Northern Plains and Central Scout
A Eugene Generals alumnus, Kroll played from 2005-2007, where he lead the team to its only Cascade Cup Final in 2006, and followed it up with a Co-Championship during the 2007 playoffs. He then continued on to Concordia University-Wisconsin where he played Division III NCAA Hockey. At Concordia, he graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor’s of Science in Business Administration.

Kroll will assist Flint Doungchak, General Manager, in scouting and recruiting players in the Northern Plains and Central Districts.

Jackson Phillips – Director of Public Relations
Phillips joined the Generals organization as the Director of Public Relations in 2011. He is originally from California’s Bay Area. Evers since Phillips was introduced to hockey by long-time friends; he has wanted to pursue a career in the sport. Phillips is expected to graduate in 2012, from the University of Oregon’s School of Journalism and Communications with two degrees in Public Relations and Advertizing. Under his title of Director of Public Relations, Phillips will be held responsible for working directly with the press core in Eugene, and expanding the role of the Generals in the community through school visits, volunteer and other charitable events.

Jayne Detering - Director of Player Housing
Detering became a member of the Generals as one of its founding members in the 2005, when she became a billet. In 2007, Detering became Director of Housing; helping all of the Generals players feel like they have a home away from home. Her responsibilities include: day-to-day operations of the host family program, placement of players, and recruitment of new host families each season. Prior to joining the Generals, Detering worked at Outfitter's in Junction City.

Toshia Holden - Corporate Services
Holden attended Academy of Art University in San Francisco, Calif., and received her Bachelor's in Fashion Merchandising in 2006. She moved to Eugene shortly after graduation. Holden assists the General Manager, Flint Doungchak, in providing support and services to customers including Group Sales, Banquet Services, Season Tickets, and Sponsorship.

Dr. Garreth Macdonald, D.C., C.C.S.T. - Head Athletic Trainer
Dr. Garreth MacDonald is a Chiropractic Physician, and serves as the team's Head Athletic Trainer; handling all in game and practice injuries and rehabilitation. Dr. MacDonald has a degree in Kinesiology, the science of human movement. Dr. MacDonald has also completed a five-year course in the field of chiropractics, and postgraduate studies in injuries.

Dr. Paul Bilder, M.D. - Medical Director
Dr. Bilder graduated from Albany Medical College in New York, and completed his internal medicine, pulmonary disease, and intensive care training at the University of Utah in 1976. He has practiced in Oregon ever since. He is presently one of the coaches in the lacrosse program at Roseburg High School. He has had intimate knowledge of sports injuries since 1969, and has helped the team with medical problems since then. Dr. Bilder has volunteered as the Eugene Generals team physician and goal judge since the team’s inception in 2005. His sons have been involved with the Eugene Generals in management and play.

Dr. Michael Koester, M.D. - Team Orthopedic Physician
Dr. Koester, a nonsurgical sports medicine specialist, specializes in the evaluation and treatment of musculoskeletal. He is trained in both pediatric and adult sports medicine, but has a special interest in the evaluation and care of injuries in children. Not limited to musculoskeletal injuries, Dr. Koester also directs the Slocum Sports Concussion Program. His areas of expertise in the active adult population are knee, shoulder, and running injuries. Natives of the Pacific Northwest, Dr. Koester and his wife are happy to be back in Oregon to raise their three children.
