Eugene Generals 2007-08 Player Housing
The Eugene Generals is looking for host families for the 2007-08 season. As you may, or may not know, players will be coming from all over the country, and potentially all over the world. The Generals are asking for the assistance of the community to provide housing for the players over the course of the season. All Generals players will be assigned to a host family from the beginning of September to the end of March. The players will range in ages from 15-20 years old. Host family responsibilities include providing adequate lodging, encouraging proper study habits, and fostering good moral and ethical behavior. Host families are not required to provide transportation for the players. Each host family will receive a $250 a month stipend to assist in offsetting lodging costs. From management to coaching, our hockey club is designed to develop a professional experience that meets the goals of USA Hockey. Those goals include: skills development, quality coaching, social maturity, educational advancement, recruiting exposure, advanced competition, and protection of each player’s amateur status. Our hockey club is seeking families that will help cultivate players in an atmosphere consistent with these goals. Hosting a player in your home is an excellent way to support the Eugene ice hockey community. If you are interested in being a host family, or if you have any questions about being a host family, please contact the Generals Front Office, (541) 359-4154, or kmhays@eugenegenerals.com. |
