No Broadcast for Generals in Seattle

Eugene, OR – The Eugene Generals will not be able to broadcast a road game for the first time since the 2005-06 NORPAC Regular Season this weekend in Mountlake Terrace, WA. The Seattle Totems Head Coach/General Manager Mike Murphy informed GiTV Executive Producer Daniel Bell yesterday afternoon that GiTV would not be able to broadcast the games this weekend due to problems with Olympicview Ice Arena. This was a response to a prior e-mail from Bell asking permission to broadcast the games this weekend. The Totems did state that if the two teams met in the Pacific Division Finals the two organizations will be able to work something out, but this weekend wouldn’t work for them.

“We want to apologize to the fans that tune into GiTV week in and week out,” GiTV Executive Producer Daniel Bell stated. “It is my goal as Executive Producer to broadcast every game. We pride ourselves on bringing Eugene Generals hockey to fans, host families, parents and scouts across the country, but unfortunately we will not be able to broadcast this weekend. We will continue to do everything in our power to broadcast every game, and bring Eugene Generals hockey to anybody that wants to tune in to GiTV.”

The Eugene Generals plan on broadcasting in audio only next weekend in Beaverton, OR and Pasco, WA for the three game weekend against the River City Jaguars and the Tri-City Titans. GiTV will also broadcast the Generals last two games of the 2007-08 NORPAC Regular Season February 22-23 at Lane Events Center-Ice against the Seattle Totems.
