The Eugene Generals will host the Portland Jr. Winterhawks for a two-game series at The Rink Exchange in Eugene, Oregon.
Eugene and Portland will face off on Friday, October 19th and Saturday, October 20th. Both games are scheduled to start at 7:30pm PST and tickets are available now at EugeneGenerals.com.
Portland's 18U team will make the 110-mile journey south to face off against the Generals for the first time ever, though the Jr. Winterhawks program is no stranger to Eugene having frequently gone toe-to-toe with the Eugene Jr. Generals at multiple age levels.
The matchup will mark the first of this season's slate of games against 18U opponents. This season's schedule will feature a diverse array of Tier III junior, ACHA collegiate, and 18U opponents, a schedule format that can be likened to that of USA Hockey’s National Team Development Program (NTDP).
The Eugene Generals maintain Independent sanctioning by USA Hockey and are the only Tier III junior hockey program in the Northwest to be officially sanctioned by USA Hockey.
