The Eugene Generals (0-2-0) were handed a 10-3 loss by the Everett Jr. Silvertips on Sunday morning at XFINITY Arena in Everett, Washington.
The morning matchup served as the finale of a two-game series between the two teams after Everett had earned an 8-1 win over Eugene the day prior.
Eugene would get on the scoreboard in the second period as defenseman Dayne Cole would score his first career goal as a General, but the Jr. Silvertips would quickly respond to regain their five-goal advantage.
In the third period, Eugene native Calvin Hennon would also score his first career goal as a General and Cole would later follow with his second goal of the game, but it wasn’t nearly enough as Everett would add four more goals in the third period to ultimately pick up the 10-3 win.
The Generals now return home for an off week before starting their 2017-18 home schedule with a crosstown matchup against the University of Oregon on Saturday, September 30th at 7:30pm PST at The Rink Exchange. Tickets are available now at EugeneGenerals.com.
