Generals to Face Puget Sound and River City this Weekend
Eugene, OR – The Eugene Generals (31-9) will travel to Bremerton, WA tomorrow to face the Puget Sound Tomahawks (12-28), and they will travel to Beaverton, OR on Friday for two games against the River City Jaguars (11-30). This will be the last time during the regular season that the Generals will face either team.
The Generals have already sewn up the season series’ with both the Tomahawks (8-0) and the Jaguars (7-0), but they are currently on their only losing streak of the season. The Generals will look to break that slump this weekend on the road against two teams that are fighting for their playoff lives.
“Both the Tomahawks and the Jaguars are very dangerous right now,” Generals head coach Jay Miller stated. “We have to forget about our record against these two teams, and we have to focus on playing solid hockey. Right now we’re just trying to get back to our winning ways, and we’re trying to better ourselves for the playoffs.”
As of this moment Puget Sound leads River City by two points, and Puget Sound has played one fewer games than River City. The Jaguars do have a chance to catch the Tomahawks, but in all likelihood the fourth and final playoff berth will be decided in the last two games of the season when the two teams face each other.
The game tomorrow at 7:30 PM against the Tomahawks, and the games on Friday and Saturday at 7:00 PM against the Jaguars will be broadcast on EGHN in audio only. For more information on upcoming games or EGHN please visit eugenegenerals.com.
