Generals to Host Tri-City and River City
Eugene, OR – The NORPAC Pacific Division leader Eugene Generals (28-6) will host the third place Tri-City Titans (17-18) this Friday and Saturday, and they will host the fourth place River City Jaguars (11-26) on Sunday. The Generals clinched their fifth consecutive playoff berth last weekend, and they are locked into one of the top three seeds in the Pacific Division. The Generals only need two more wins to clinch one of the top two seeds in the Division.
“We’ve still got fourteen games left in the regular season,” Generals head coach Jay Miller stated. “Right now we have to worry about the Tri-City Titans and the River City Jaguars this weekend. We want to continue to work on our game, and continue to become a better hockey team over the next month or so.”
The Generals are currently 3-1 this season against the Tri-City Titans. The Titans are the only team beside the Seattle Totems who have beaten the Generals in the Pacific Division. The Generals were defeated by the Titans 5-4 in their only OT game this season. In the Generals three wins over the Titans since their OT loss they have won by an average of four goals per game.
The Generals are currently 6-0 against the River City Jaguars this season. Two of the Generals four shutouts have come against the Jaguars, but in the other four games the Generals have not defeated the Jaguars by more than three goals.
The games against the Titans this Friday and Saturday and the game against the Jaguars on Sunday at 7:35 PM at Lane Events Center-Ice will be broadcast on EGHN. For more information on upcoming games or EGHN please visit eugenegenerals.com.
