Generals Host Rogue Valley for Bi-Mart Half-off Night
Eugene, OR – The Eugene Generals (10-3) will host the Rogue Valley Wranglers (2-11) tomorrow at 7:35 PM at Lane Events Center-Ice for Bi-Mart Half-off Night. Any person who presents their Bi-Mart card at the ticket window tomorrow night will receive half-off of any single game ticket purchase for tomorrow night’s game.
“Rogue Valley is coming off of a big win against River City, and I’m sure they’ll be gunning for us,” Generals head coach Jay Miller stated. “They have a great power play. We will have to stay out of the box, and stay disciplined if we do take any penalties if we want to come away with four points this weekend.”
This weekend marks the first time in Rogue Valley’s franchise history that they have a higher power play percentage (PP%), and a higher penalty kill percentage (PK%) than the Generals. As of this moment, the Wranglers are second in NORPAC with a 21.65 PP%, and they also have an 81.18 PK%. The Generals sit in fourth in NORPAC with a 20.56 PP%, and have an 80.39 PK%.
Special teams will no doubt play a role in the games this weekend, but special teams is not the entire game. The Generals were able to defeat Rogue Valley 14-7, which is the most goals given up by the Generals to the Wranglers in Franchise history, and 10-4 in their only two meetings of the season. The Generals will be looking to move their 22-0 record against the Wranglers to 24-0 this weekend, but this may be the toughest two games the Generals have played against the Wranglers in franchise history.
The game tomorrow night for Bi-Mart Half-off Night against the Wranglers at 7:35 PM at Lane Events Center-Ice will be simulcast on EGHN and INFO 1320. The game on Saturday at 8:00 PM in Medford, OR at the RRRink will be broadcast in audio only on EGHN.
