Generals on the Road for Three
Eugene, OR - The Eugene Generals (13-3) will travel to Beaverton, OR for their first meetings of the season with the River City Jaguars (7-6) this Friday and Saturday. The Generals will then travel to Kennewick, WA for a Sunday game against the Tri-City Titans (3-12). The Generals are 2-0 in their seven game road swing, and will be looking to secure a winning record for the swing this weekend.
“I’m really excited about playing River City this weekend,” Generals Head Coach Jay Miller stated. “They are the only remaining team we haven’t faced in the Pacific Division, and it will be nice to see what they have. We can’t take either team for granted. River City has played some great hockey this season, and Tri-City has lost a ton of close games. We have to give 100% and stick to our systems if we want to come away with three wins this weekend.”
The Jaguars currently sit fourth in the NORPAC Pacific Division, and only trail the third place Puget Sound Tomahawks by two points. The Jaguars also have three games in hand over the Tomahawks, and two games in hand over the fifth place Coeur d’Alene Lakers, who trail the Jaguars by four points.
The Titans are second to last in the Pacific Division, but the Generals must not underestimate their rivals from Kennewick. Despite their 3-12 record the Titans have played in 11 one goal games. However, the Titans have only been able to come away with two victories in one goal games. If the Titans can find a way to finish the game strong, they should be a very dangerous team.
The games this Friday and Saturday in Beaverton, OR against the River City Jaguars at 7:05 PM, and the game this Sunday in Kennewick, WA against the Tri-City Titans at 4:05 PM will be broadcast on GiTV in audio only. For more information on upcoming games or GiTV please visit eugenegenerals.com.
