Generals Officially Release 2008/09 Season Schedule
Eugene, OR – The Eugene Generals officially released their 2008/09 NORPAC Regular Season Schedule earlier today. The 48 game schedule begins Friday, September 26, 2008 against the Rogue Valley Wranglers, and concludes Saturday, February 21, 2009 against the River City Jaguars. The Generals will face only NORPAC Pacific Division teams during the regular season.
The Generals have six special event nights during the regular season. The first special event nigh of the 2008/09 season will be Opening Night on Friday, September 26, 2008 against the Rogue Valley Wranglers. Opening Night festivities will include the introduction to the entire 2008/09 Eugene Generals roster and a special National Anthem singer.
The second special event night will be the 4th Annual Eugene Generals Breast Cancer Awareness Night presented by Prime Med Medical Clinic, which will take place on Friday, October 17, 2008 (National Mammography Day) against the Tri-City Titans. Breast Cancer Awareness Night festivities will include limited edition pink breast cancer awareness jerseys (to be auctioned off on eBay to benefit American Cancer Society), a special National Anthem singer and a booth from the American Cancer Society.
The third special event night will be the 3rd Annual Veterans and Military Night presented by US ARMY, which will take place Saturday, January 10, 2009 against the River City Jaguars. Veterans and Military Night festivities will include limited edition jerseys (to be auctioned off on eBay to benefit the Eugene School Education Foundation), a special National Anthem singer and a visit from a military vehicle.
The last special event night of the season will be Fan Appreciation Night on Monday, February 16, 2009 against the Seattle Totems. Fan Appreciation Night festivities will include giveaways and a special National Anthem singer.
