Generals Lose Big at Home
Eugene, OR – The Eugene Generals fell 5-1 tonight when they faced the Fort Vancouver Pioneers at Lane Events Center-Ice. It was a hard fought battle four most of the game, but the Pioneers pulled away in the second period, and put the game away for good in the third. “Fort Vancouver was playing very aggressively tonight, and we just couldn’t match their intensity,” Head Coach Robert Freeland stated. “I’m happy we won the series 4-2, but I would have been more comfortable if we’d taken five from them.”
The Generals only goal came in the second period when Kris Kranzky and Ryan Schank assisted Trevor Johnson. Other than that one goal, Fort Vancouver dominated most of the action. The Generals will host the Bozeman Blackhawks next weekend at Lane Events Center Ice. The Blackhawks are coming off of two losses against the Queen City Cutthroats, and will be looking for a victory. The Generals will have to come out strong, and stay aggressive if they want to stay with the Blackhawks.
The games next weekend will be broadcast live on GiTV on www.eugenegenerals.com. For more information on upcoming Generals games please visit www.eugenegenerals.com.
