Generals Stomp Tomahawks and Breast Cancer

Eugene, OR – The Eugene Generals toppled the Puget Sound Tomahawks 10-4 tonight at Lane Events Center-Ice. The Generals also drew their largest crowd of the season for Breast Cancer Awareness Night. The Tomahawks skated with the Generals for the first 30 minutes of the game, and even lead 4-3, but the Generals fire power was too much for the second place Tomahawks. “We were down for a large part of the game, but our guys played with a lot of heart when they were down,” Head Coach Robert Freeland stated. “It was a tough battle, and I’m sure they’ll play us just as tough tomorrow.”

The Generals raised over $560 for the American Cancer Society from the five jerseys auctioned off at the game alone. Fifteen jerseys have already been auctioned off on eBay, and the remaining five are currently being auctioned off on eBay. The Generals will be facing the Tomahawks tomorrow night at Lane Events Center-Ice at 7:35. The Game should prove to be a close battle as the Generals aim to widen their lead atop the NOR-PAC Western Division.
