Men In Pink

Eugene, OR – The NOR-PAC leading Eugene Generals will face the Western Division second place Puget Sound Tomahawks Friday and Saturday at Lane Events Center-Ice at 7:35. The Generals will also host their first Sunday game of the season when they face the River City Jaguars at 12:30. The Generals will be celebrating Breast Cancer Awareness Night on Friday, and wearing limited edition Breast Cancer Awareness jerseys. Twenty of the commemorative jerseys are being auctioned off on eBay, and the other five will be auctioned off in a silent auction at the event. Part of the proceeds from the jersey auction and gate revenues will benefit the American Cancer Society in their continued effort to fight breast cancer.

“We are really excited about this night,” General Manager Flint Doungchak stated. “The jersey auctions on eBay have been a big success, and we anticipate the auctions at the game to be even better.” The jerseys to be auctioned off at Breast Cancer Awareness Night include: Generals captain, and NOR-PAC’s fourth leading scorer, Ryan Schank; Generals assistant captain, and NOR-PAC’s second leading scorer, Garrett Bossert; NOR-PAC’s third leading scorer, Michael Frei; Generals backup goalie, Brent Siedel; and hometown boy Cameron Zimick.

The Generals are coming off two big road wins against the defending champion Queen City Cutthroats, and the struggling Butte Rough Riders. The Generals are also hoping to sweep the Tomahawks for the second series of the season, and tame the Jaguars in their first meeting of the season. The Generals crushed the Tomahawks 9-4 and 8-2 in their last two meetings in Puget Sound. This will be the first time the Generals have faced the Jaguars, beside the 9-1 win in the Preseason Kickoff Tournament. “We feel really confident going into the games this weekend,” Head Coach Robert Freeland exclaimed. “After the loss at Bozeman our guys know that they can’t win every game on sheer talent. They came back against Queen City and Butte, and really showed me that they are willing to work for every win.”

Come support your Generals as they work for every win this weekend to keep their stronghold on the NOR-PAC Western Division, and remain atop the NOR-PAC league standings. For more information on Breast Cancer Awareness Night or upcoming Generals games please visit www.eugenegenerals.com.
