EUGENE GENERALS TENDER SECOND DEFENSEMAN

Eugene, OR – The Eugene Generals tendered their fourth player last Wednesday. The Generals fourth tender is Alaska native Erik Kroll.

Last year Kroll was a member of 2005 Alaska State Championship U-18 Tier II Team, Alaska Wolves and participated in the 2005 USA Hockey National U-18 Tier II Tournament. Kroll graduated from Diamond High School in Anchorage with a 3.83 GPA, and was a member of the National Honor Society.

The 18-year-old was scouted by Eugene Generals Head Coach Robert Freeland at the Chicago Showcase. “The whole organization is excited about tendering him,” Freeland explained. “Erik has the two key elements that our club is looking for. First, he is a quality person. Second, he is an excellent hockey player.”

“I’m confident, excited, and a little bit nervous about playing for the Generals this year,” Kroll stated. “I love the location of the team, and Coach Freeland has made me really excited about our chances in the league.”

As a tender, Kroll is guaranteed a spot on the opening night roster. For more information on Erik Kroll and other tenders, visit www.eugenegenerals.com.
