Player Spotlight- #9 Connor Bambico
by Chris Bilder, Generals Staff Writer

Eugene, OR-

Chris Bilder: How do you like the team so far?

Connor Bambico: I enjoy this team really well. The speed is one of the main reasons why I like the team. We all fit well together, and we seem to be bonding pretty well for the month that we’ve known each other.

CB: You just played in your first Junior game. Describe what was going through your head when you first stepped on the ice.

CoB: I was pretty excited; I just felt pure adrenaline pretty much. I don’t think there are words that can really explain it. I was just really excited, and happy to be playing Seattle, my home town.

CB: How would you describe your first game?

CoB: I thought I played pretty well, but hearing from the veterans I think I can definitely do better.

CB: What was your favorite moment?

CoB: Probably being in the starting line-up, and hearing the announcer call my name, and having the crowd cheer for me.

CB: How do you think the team looks heading into the second week of play?

CoB: We seem pretty focused. We definitely seem ready for the upcoming week against Tri-City.

CB: What are your goals for the upcoming season?

CoB: Just to become the best hockey player I can be in the six months that I’m here.

CB: What is one area that you really excel at on the ice?

CoB: Definitely the battles in the corners. I seem to do pretty well at that I believe.

CB: What is one area that you’d really like to improve on this season?

CoB: My offensive skills. I know the defensive side of the puck pretty well, but this team should help me with my offensive game.

CB: The team is heading to Kennewick, WA to face the team that offered you a spot earlier in the off-season. Is there any extra motivation for you to play well against the Titans?

CoB: There’s definitely some motivation playing against them. I want to show them that I have gotten better, and show them that I can excel at Juniors away from their team.

CB: What does the team need to do to win this weekend?

CoB: We definitely need to be patient. Even though Tri-City is a young team we still need to be disciplined and come out with a win.
