Jay Miller, Interim Head Coach jmiller@eugenegenerals.com
Miller, a Colorado native, played his youth hockey in Arvada. He then played for the University of Colorado (ACHA Division II) where he was a significant member, and player/president, of the Buffalos’ championship run in 2004. Miller then transferred to the University of Oregon Graduate School. This will be Coach Miller's third year with the team. The last two seasons Miller was an offensive and defensive assistant coach, and managed all of the statistical analysis. Chantelle Russell, Strength and Conditioning crussell@eugenegenerals.com
Chantelle grew up playing hockey in Ontario and Michigan before playing four years at the University of Findlay, in Ohio - a Division I program. Since graduation she has continued to play recreationally and coach women's hockey in the area.
Russell has a Bachelor of Science degree in Strength and Conditioning and Associate degree in Personal Training from the University of Findlay. She received her master's degree in Parks and Recreation Administration from Central Michigan University. Russell is an ACE (American Council on Exercise) certified personal trainer and AFAA/Schwinn/Turbo Kick certified group fitness instructor. Maintaining certification includes many continuing education courses, such as the Twist Sport Conditioning Series, CorePower and Agility, Quickness and Reaction Skills. Russell is currently the Assistant Director of Fitness at the University of Oregon Student Recreation Center. Chantelle will be personally working with the players at the gym and during dryland to improve their strength and conditioning for the rigorous season.

Kevin is currently starting his college career at Lane Community College with a pre-med transfer major to University of Oregon and a minor in Business. His plans after University of Oregon include receiving a Masters in Physician Assistance. Originally from Loveland, Colorado, Kevin played for the Generals for two seasons, while assisting Flint Doungchak with the Eugene Junior Generals Midget team. Kevin is a Level 3 USA Hockey Coach. In his second season with the Generals, he followed local Orthopedic Surgeon Brick Lantz with Orthopedic Healthcare Northwest to gain experience not only in an office setting but in a surgical setting as well.
Dr. Paul Bilder, M.D.,Team Physician pbilder@eugenegenerals.com
Dr. Bilder graduated from Albany Medical College in New York State and completed his internal medicine, pulmonary disease, and intensive care training at the University of Utah in 1976. He has practiced in Oregon ever since. He has been involved with lacrosse since 1965 and coached and played in New York, Utah, LA, and Oregon. He is presently one of the coaches in the lacrosse program at Roseburg high school. He has had intimate knowledge of sports injuries since 1969 and has helped with team medical problems since that time. Dr. Bilder has volunteered as the Eugene Generals team physician and goal judge since its inception in 2005. His sons have been involved with the Eugene Generals in management and play.
Jim "Turk" Hartly, Independent Scout and Consultant
Turk is currently an independent scout/consultant for the BCHL, NAHL, KIJHL, NOR PAC, and various NCAA Division I and Division III programs. Hartly is an Evaluator for the USA Hockey Select Camps as well as the Adminstrator for Wolfster's Hockey Camps. Turk has had 20+ years of coaching/training/working with hockey players, many of which have advanced past minor hockey. This will be Turk's 12th year of scouting.
